Winter news and an April painting holiday on Carna

Christmas holidays, a blustery day at Ardnamurchan Lighthouse

Wishing you and yours a belated Happy New year!
We had a great time over Christmas and New Year celebrating with family here at Laga Bay. The weather was a bit mixed to say the least and the heavens opened throughout the first week of the school holidays. It was a bit frustrating but gave us time to get the Christmas tree up and decorated and all the shopping and cooking done.
We had an afternoon at Ardnamurchan Lighthouse to see the waves crashing on the rocks - spectacular!

We had a trip to Tobermory and a lovely lunch in the MishNish before a fairly choppy sail back to Kilchoan on the CalMac ferry.

En Plein Air painting holiday Carna 2017
Bookings are coming in for our annual painting week. We held our first holiday in April 2016 which was a super week, good weather, lots of outdoor painting and beautiful light.
This year we plan to return to Castle Tioram, visit Tobermory and have a visit to Andrew Sinclair's Resipole Studio for some inside knowledge and an opportunity to meet with Andrew and discuss his paintings along with the other current work on exhibition. Exciting stuff. If you would like more information or to book email me allison@selfcatering-ardnamurchan.co.uk
